Locked In!

Back in university, one of my lecturers told us not to compete with “internet people” — the ones publishing their work online, setting the bar so high it feels out of reach. I think he did that in good faith, like to encourage studies over other things.

But honestly? I didn’t listen.

Instead, I did the exact opposite. I did try to compete with internet people. I looked at their work, studied it, wondered how they did it, and tried to figure out how I could do it too. Sure, it was intimidating at first. Their skills seemed light years ahead of mine. But the truth is, competing with them pushed me to learn faster, experiment more, and sharpen my skills in ways I wouldn’t have otherwise.

Now, looking ahead, things are about to get real interesting. The Intelligence Age is coming at us full speed, and it’s going to change mostly everything. AI technologies will affect how we look at and understand digital interfaces. We’re heading toward a future where interfaces might not even need to be “human-readable” anymore. Instead, interactions could become more ambient, with systems understanding context and providing solutions more intuitively. More on that later.

2024 was a wild ride for me — so many eye-opening moments. Met amazing people, experienced new things, visited wonderful places, and — heck — started a podcast!

So yeah, don’t hold back, get locked in, do what you love.
